I really don't trust him. I get the same nervous feeling as I did with Blair, even back in 1994. It comes across as the same kind of slippery substanceless spin - whether it may or not actually be so is another thing. The idea of him becoming President leaves me feeling even more uneasy than that of McCain. (And I don't really like him either, I should add.)
Wouldn't trust the man to scramble an egg, let alone run a country.

I think I've looked pretty close. I've read almost all the policy papers and followed the primaries in the WaPo, NYT, TIME etc. I watched some of the debates and a few speeches.
Anyway, I see nothing wrong in the statement 'I don't get him as slimy', if I hadn't done all of the above. Noone's said 'He's not slimy'.

I wish I could like McCain - any maverick who can think outside the box would normally deserve a vote over the swathe of identikit politicians that clog the airways these days.
But from what I've heard from talking to friends, his well-known temper is the least of his problems. He literally can't concentrate in meetings for more than five minutes at a time. Ties in with recent events, where his behaviour at best seems erratic, and erratic equals dangerous.
Since this is about dating, anybody help me out with a gorgeous blonde EU commissioner with, I think, a Scandinavian name? (surprise) I've tried googling but all I get is dogs of both sexes.
