Haha, okay. I shall expect an essay.
Where have the comedy films gone? Page 6
Quote: Griff @ September 28 2008, 6:32 PM BSTAgreed with zooo about From Dusk Till Dawn, the first half of that film is so much better than the second. (Obviously I count Salma Hayek's dance as being in the first half.) The opening scene where they hold up the store is awesome.
I disagree. The second half of the film when it becomes a slam-bam homage to Night of the Living Dead is much more fun than the mean-spirited and nasty first half. In fact, the first half typifies the problem with a lot of Robert Rodriguez films, all style and no emotional substance (with the honorable exception of the Spy Kids movies, which genuinely have a heart).
Fair enough. Even I winced at the nastiness of the bit where Quentin Tarantino's character butchers that woman in the hotel room. I just didn't find much in the second half to interest me, as horror-spoofs are just about my least favourite thing.

I wince whenever I see Tarantino on screen. He is a terrible actor.
Nice to hear Simon Pegg refer to Ricky Gervais as an idiot after the latter sugggested there have been no funny British comedy films since the nineteen-fifties.
Chipolata can we have Tina Fey back again please. I've already told you about this.

You should be out looking for a new job, Dole Boy, nevermind lurking on the BSG.
I don't know how they do it where you live Chip but nowadays you don't have to go and queue up at the Labour Exchange. You can fast-track your career from home using a thing called the Internet. Admittedly it's hard to know what to put on my CV for the last year. "Griff's key contributions to his last role included monging on BSG all day and regular fights with Seefacts."

I laughed out loud once seeing him being interviewed about From Dusk To Dawn and he extremly straight faced and very, very serious said - in the end Clooney was the only possible choice to play opposite him - as they made very convincing brothers!!!

Have you got Parkinson's today?

I tried drinking some Laphroaig last night and failed! It might have something to do with that!

"I have significantly developed my people skills in the past few years, and have dealt wih a number of awkward colleagues with great diplomacy and calmness, in order to reduce friction and up productivity."

If he could say that with a straight face, he's a better actor than we thought.
