Quote: JuliaC @ September 27 2008, 11:30 PM BSTI've just remembered GVS was responsible for that god-awful Psycho remake... *shudder*
He was indeed!
I quite liked it.

It was hilarious, I'll give you that!
Ha!
I loved that he got rid of any ambiguity with the Perkins character, and just blatantly had him wanking himself while watching her through a hole in her hotel room wall.
Awesome.

In this case, a typo. My brains moving faster than my fingers. Which, I should say, usually isn't the case.

Gus Van Sant you mean Curt?
All his films are reeeeally different. Which I think is quite cool.

Yea that guy. Cool I guess that's why I never figured it was the same person.
Quote: zooo @ September 27 2008, 11:27 PM BSTWell my number one is My Own Private Idaho. It has River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves, Gus Van Sant and rentboys.
My four favourite things to have in a film.
Who is this Gus Van Sant fellow and why is he so special an ingredient to have in a film...?

No! I loved the way it looked. It was beautiful.
I don't see the point of the remake really, but the fact he used the exact same script, and the exact same camera shots as the original, but ended up with a completely different feeling film was pretty interesting, I thought.

No, that was Roger Avery, wasn't it? The guy who wrote teeny bits of Pulp Fiction.
