You better be, Ricketts! And it had better be funny too!

i can't help but note down tracks and such likes, i've an ever growing list of what i'd possibly like to include.
if driving and i'm flicking thru' the radio stations or just listening to a cd and a song sometimes stands out, dunno kind of hear it in a different way and can imagine hearing it being played on/in a certain scene
and why not hey!
Music has always played a massive part in my life, so it was inevitable that I'd feel the need to suggest certain songs, for certain scenes in my sitcom. I think it's great how Julian Barratt, from the Mighty Boosh, produces all his own music for the show.

Yes so do I, and I'm insanely f**king jealous. It's my life's desire to write the script and music to a hit comedy.
I've actually just written a possible theme tune to a sketch show project I'm working on (along with another BSG-er, don't you know!). The show (if it ever makes it to tv) is going to have some pretty bizarre, silly content so this tune is supposed to represent that, in a kooky Danny Elfman kind of way.
I appreciate I'm setting myself up for a fall here, but here's the link. http://www.macjams.com/song/46430

Agree with Perry. I love writing music too and to combine the two would be great. The Slaggs produce all their own music for videos - usually a spin-off from SlagB's melodic hardcore band.

I don't know why, but I imagined you saying that as the Wicked Witch Of The West with a big warty nose.
I think I'm tired.

Music is my second love behind funny stuff. What's "melodic hardcore"? Got anything online I could cast an ear over?
Am away in London tomorrow but will check your link out in the night, Perry.
Melodic hardcore is kinda grungey although the band (and The Slagg Brothers as a duo) are moving into more structured and sparser arrangements - Electonica with bollocks. SlagB brings his band's demos up to me house and I then add / remove tracks and they usually trust me to slip in the lead guitar parts, which is nice but darned foolish of them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL6iIrzjQp4 - this is a video I shot for his band but YouTube pixellates all the fast camera sections. It's an example of the move from the MHardcore stage into the newer style. I added the reversed Eastern sounding guitars, some cello synth parts, and the fade out solos. SlagB provided the hard guitars in the chorus.
As much as I love Vampire Weekend, if I hear "A Punk," on another comedy or TV show I'm going on a rampage.

Cheers Slag. I know what I like and I know what I hate, and I don't hate this at all! Get's really quite groovy near the end. Good stuff!
Had a listen to the link. Very effective piece Perry, that really suits the mood you're going for. Excellent. Music box chimes are always the most apt sound choice for that eerie atmos.

That's really, really good!
