There are no facts, just opinions, and thats a fact.
Why are the Yanks funnier than us Brits? Page 9

Badge I hate to say you are a bit over sensitive but irony isn't just a rogue state in the middle east.
Haha. Actually that was my main stay. I took some small day-trips to Windsor, Salisbury, some other small country towns, and of course Paris, but other than that I was London most of the time.
I've got to say, I loved it there. Greatest city I've ever been to...and I've been to most of the big ones!
I went to Paris once and a communist tried to give me a sandwich. Yeah London rules.
HA! I wish I had the same experience in Paris.
My experience was that it was an amazing city...ruined by a lot of rude people...
I sadly haven't been to America yet. All i know is the figures for obesity, but Britain is second fattest in the world anyway so. Hopefully, if i continue my Government & Politics course next year, i can take a trip to Washington with my class. That would be my first taste of Americana.
While i'm on this subject, something annoys me. "American Pie" was invented in Britain and is actually "Bannoffee Pie". YOU STOLE IT! Though that isn't your fault, i know.
The French i don't like. It would be racist of me to say all of the French are rude, arrogant tossers, but so far 100% of French people i've met are rude, arrogant tossers. I had a bad experienc ein France on my way to Spain, horrible, horrible people (i met).
Now, the Germans, lovely people, lovely country, my favourite holiday to date. I loved it.
I've been to America three times including Florida, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Loved every single one of them, people very helpful and friendly. There are some crazy folk in LA though when nightfall comes.

Yeah. I live in Orange County. You can get some weirdies down here.
Sometimes it seems 90% Brits who come here are the epitome of football fans - bald or almost bald, stout, obnoxious, chav-y, loud, either drunk, very drunk or totally wasted.
Thankfully, I've been to UK (London area), and I know they do not represent the whole nation.
I don't really fancy going to the big cities like New York or Chicago. If I was to go to America, it would be the more rural places. Georgia, for example.
My dream is to go to Nashville, Tenessee because I'm a huge Country fan. Shania Twain rocks!
One place i would never go is Oklahoma and Alabama. Something tells me i'd end up hurting people if i went there.
Quote: Badge @ June 14, 2007, 10:28 PMI don't hate the French. I hate racism, xenophobia and homophobia. All of which are regularly present in the postings of our administrator, Aaron.

My experience was that it was dirty. Skanky, dirty, with a few interesting points, but generally ruined by shockingly bad drivers and terminally rude Frenchies.

It's nowhere near as bad as some make out. I've been to a number of areas and rather enjoyed it. Only place I *really* want to go back to is Vegas.
Couldn't live there though.

How about "as American as apple pie"? I mean, FFS. We've been making apple pie since before America was 'discovered'.

Y'know, you're right actually. They're not at all bad. Ever been to Denmark though? I highly recommend it. Beats any other european country (save Britain, of course).
Sweden's nice. Lots of assets!
