Possibly then! But I really hope not.
Remember laughing a lot as a kid at 'The Gaffer'... f**k knows what that was about.
Rising Damp is the subject next Tuesday with the episode 'Stage Struck'
How can they put comedy behind football? ITV truly are evil.

Although I consider myself to have a broad ranging taste in comedy, I've never quite 'got' Rising Damp. I wonder what I'm missing. Is it the quality of the writing I'm supposed to be getting off on, or the Rossiter performance?

Well what do you want us to say? Both. It's a masterpiece. Great writing, and Rossiter is simply superb. Do you want a breakdown, line-by-line, of every script?

I agree with you, I have never got it either.
I preferred Reginald Perrin personally.
What Aaron said.
Agreed. The scripts were superb and as was Rossiter's acting, as was the acting of messrs: Warrington, Beckinsale and De La Tour.
