Kate Bush - so wrong, yet so right.

She's wonderful, yet totally kooky but in ways that really add to her.

Here's a moment from Kate that I know I should hate but it's so utterly endearing that she's not afraid of being locked up. Kate speaks 'bird' from the last album; Aerial.

There are more moments of madness that make her important to my past:

Delius - quite surreal - Kate as a swan offering herself to a wheelchair bound Delius, whose face is the sun. Prime time BBC2 viewing back in the good old days.

Maybe if she'd made me roll in the autumn leaves in a country lane ditch then I wouldn't be so much more uptight than a Victorian gentleman in a clip joint.

:P

Any one else secretly love the Bush, despite their better judgement?

What's not to love? I imagine being inside Kate Bush's brain is something akin to a being in animated collection of six year old children's paintings.

I imagine being inside Kate Bush's brain...

Yikes, that wasn't the only place I imagined.

No need to be secret. Kate Bush is fantastic. Beautiful music, mad as a sack of badgers and the sexual fantasy of millions back in the seventies:

Quite a woman! And I'm sure she's aged well!

Count me in. I love Kate Bush unashamedly. At a time when the likes of "The Streets" are having South Bank Shows made about them and Mike Skinner is being hailed as a musical genius it makes you appreciate her all the more.

Man, I love that tune.

I've heard very little of her music apart from the biggest hits, but they really are superb.

Was she completely original? I don't know, you tell me.

I reckon she was.

This one makes me well up.

A touching song about those people who we love and pass away, and the impact they leave on us. It's a bit of an irritating video though but gorgeous song and words.

She definitely was an original. Bjork of course came a lot later.

But she wrote all of her stuff herself. True she had some connections but we should all be thankful for it.

"Running up the hill" has to be in my top 50 of all time (which might not say a lot but I know some brilliant music).

I'll list them if you want.

And since this is a comedy forum, let's not forget her insanely sexy performance in Les Dogs

She was like the singers in ABBA, in that she had a stunning voice, and a properly trained one as well.

It's so rare to hear a popular singer, who's actually got the technical skills to sing.

The Man with the Child in his Eyes is stunningly beautiful.

And here's one of her number one fans.

Is she better than the late, great Freddie though?!

Is it a contest?

She's certainly better than Britney, The Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Shania Twaine etc.

She wrote some of her biggest hits when she was 14. She's a huge talent.
