North of all the London dwelling southern softies. Though I now count myself in that number. Maybe I'll buy a whippet, or start sporting a flat cap to make sure I don't become infected . . .

Flat caps are more a northern thing, I would have thought.

I think that's his point.

*is left alone and snuggleless in harsh thread*

Just leave, too, and come over to General, General or something.

You can do it!

Well yes Aaron, that was sort of my point! Re-affirm my northerness!

What he said.

Oh yeah *leaves*

Ah. I see. Yes, makes sense when read that way around too.

I shall tutor you in the mysterious ways of the north dwellers. *hands Aaron something tasty in pie form. with gravy.*

Sick

Sick

Don't fight it Aaron . . . don't fight it. . .

I like the thought of Asian men wearing flat caps and saying e-bah-gum in Asian accents! Proper Yorkshire!

Brummies always sound like they have learning difficulties, and Liverpudlian is a ghastly, chippy whine.

Highland Scottish is a lovely accent, and Geordie is terrific.

Among other native English speakers Bostonian just about beats South African in terms of harshness on the ear. You have got to love Strine.

Among non-native speakers the Dutch always sound like they are gargling phlegm. French is a sexy accent.

Boston is a funny accent. I love the way they say caaaaarrr.

I quite like the Dutch and Scandanavian accents. I find them endearing.

Laughing out loud

Geordie is terrific.

:O

I'm sorry, but even my hatred of the French aside, I really don't understand this one.

I had a Dutch girlfriend. Possibly it has coloured my view...
