If it turned out that God does exist.. Page 5

I agree. Perhaps I should've said, I believe in God - but what he is, or what his intentions/motives are, I don't know.

Well I could concopt an answer for myself right now that seemed to fit my sense of logic and my world view. But that wouldn't make it necessarily the right answer. We can guess and reason, but can't actually know.

The right answer is the answer that is right for here & now.

Who says you can guess & reason but can't know? YOU DID.

Yeah, and mankind is SO much like motorbikes, toy trains, televisions...

Even by your standards Skib, this drug-fuelled pseudo-philosophical bollocks is exactly that; bollocks.

It is the one true path. *hails Laura*

Man is a machine. Man makes machines. But man cannot make man from raw materials, something else obviously has.

No, but woman can.

This is all so tantalisingly vague! All I can gather is that you're saying it is whatever we want it to be? But I don't think this is actually what you're saying.

:)

It can only ever be what YOU think it is in the here & now.

Full stop.

I liked him in South Park.

"So my girlfriend and I got a bit drunk and now... well... she's pregnant. So my question is... how did you convince Mary she was still a virgin?"

Basically guys, Skib's god. :)

This must be quoted and saved for all time before Zoo edits her post!

I deny nothing. I embrace everything & every thought & every feeling.

I am grateful for everything---even the so-called bad things/thoughts/feelings.

It takes one to know one. ;)

Glitter dust?

Why is it? How is it?

Why is what?

How is what?

And there you go again: Asking questions whose answers, if they have any true value at all, MUST come from within and not someone else. They must come from the one doing the asking.

So it's as I said then? You think God is whatever we want God to be?
Whether it's the truth or not.
Which means that all religions are right, and so are all atheists, and no-one has to think about it any more.

God came down to Earth in human form and became your friend. One day he says 'You see that baby? I'm going to take its life and give it Cancer or get its father to beat it and kill it'

Would you shoot the bastard?

God I mean.

And what is "truth"?

And what do you personally require as proof of any truth?

And where does the truth reside? Outside of yourself? But your questions are coming from within yourself. Have you convinced yourself that the answers can only be found outside of yourself?

Where do you end and the rest of the world begins? Your skin?

Grok, grasshopper. Grok!
