For fans of Garth Marenghi, the same team were behind 'Man to Man with Dean Lerner'. This seems to polarise people as many Garth fans didn't like the show. I found it hilarious though, and the DVD is now available at a bargain £5.89 from Sendit. Next cheapest I can find is a tenner plus.
I liked that sketch on Man To Man with Dean Learner where it was like The Apprentice.
Dean Learner owned the car parts company that previously belonged to Steve Pising.
Dean was looking for an apprentice security guard to watch the warehouse.
Dean just had the girls washing his car whilst he watched them. There's a great line near the end when Steve Pising is leaving for the day - he walks past Dean and the girls and he gives Dean a look, Dean says "don't look at me like that, Steve" and Steve replies "that car's too clean Dean..." Understated, but great verbal exchange.
Oh and this was a great clip from Man to Man with Dean Learner...
Dean Lerner was OK, there were good bits; the Apprentice style bit as mentioned above being one of them, another was the Darkplace-esque clip from some giant bee movie.

Just having a perusal and noticed this thread. Watched it when it first came on and liked it. Watched it again recently and now I absolutely love it.
Lucien Sanchez is amazing.
"WHAT? Am I holding a crock of shit? Tell me something, is this hospital called St crock of shit". One of the greatest lines ever.
"It's egg in soup", "Let me cut up your pork pie", the battery debate, there's too many to list.
Quality programme.
Dark Place is fantastic. It's worth watching more than one episode at a time as it helps to buy into the style of it. I'm not sure I'd watch the whole series in one go though. Probably in 2 three-episode chunks.
I also really liked Man to Man with Dean Learner. That's definitely something that could benefit from a second series.
I watched almost the whole series of Snuffbox last night, it plays on very similar rules to Darkplace and features the sublime skills of Matt Berry!
Yes! Snuffbox was cool too.
It seems to have been missed by most people. If I remember correctly they kept moving it round the schedules, which never helps get an audience.
And I loved the theme tune.
Those blasted meddlesome schedule fiddlers at the Beeb! I'm listening to Matt berry's Opium album as we speak!

Yeah... I was one of those people who never saw much of it, because it kept jumping about the late-night schedules. It's amazing how a lowly scheduler can kill a show (see also: other BBC Three shows like 15 Storeys High).
