Writing Opportunity

OK guys, this doesn't say it's not comedy and in fairness I haven't actually checked it out. That said, it may be of some interest.

Cheers Baumski!

Do they mean the whole script has to be 10 minutes long?
Or do they mean just a ten minute bit of the script?

I reckon it's a 10 minute bit of the script. This means that your entire script could be say, 11 mins or anything longer than that up to eternity.

Some of my longer scripts seem like eternity to the reader, apparently. :)

I have got 15 mins of a one hour comedy drama script written. They shall have 10 mins of that. I don't have high hopes but I guess I need to start somewhere. Need that first rejection slip to break my duck! I intend to wall paper my room with rejection slips before I've done!

I sent these guys a script a couple of years ago and they invited me to take part. I didn't for reasons I won't go into here. It's a good opportnity, though, and well worth going for.

Can someone move this to writers forum?

Done. ;)

ooo we are "in the know" for a change :)

It's like the Producer's your dad!

Huzzah!

Did you get emailed this Baumski?

Actually, it came from the Writers' Guild so I guess there is some benefit to being a member. Mind you, having said that, there's a bit about my book in the latest edition of the Guild magazine - which was nice.

"The script can be short film, feature, theatre or television "

Does this mean you could submit a 30 min sitcom script or do you think this has to be drama?

Def.

Better than choking on someone elses.

It's actually two days from the 38th anniversary of this event.

I'm still a little confused.
On the Bafta web site it says next session is April.
On the Rocliffe sight it says its a monthly event.

Any, all or none of the above true?
