Dobey

Another one from sooty's list...

KIRSTY WARK IS INTERVIEWING SIR IAN BLAIR ON NEWSNIGHT.

WARK
Sir Ian, the Metropolitan Police has taken something of a beating over racism in recent weeks. And now the most senior Asian officer in the force has accused yourself of racism. Are you a racist?

SIR IAN
Now, Kirsty, that's ridiculous. I am very much not a racist. I love coloureds.

WARK
Well, what about your force? Does it discriminate against ethnic minorities? There are very few people from an ethnic minority in senior positions.

SIR IAN
Well we've got a few Irish.

WARK
What about black and Asian?

SIR IAN
Oh, loads, there's that Asian fellow you mentioned before, Abdul or something. He's quite high up. Although I did have to suspend him. They do whinge, you know.

WARK
Any others?

SIR IAN
Oh, er, ooh, oh, there must be. Ooh, I remember, Captain Dobey.

WARK
Captain Dobey? Out of Starsky & Hutch?

SIR IAN
And Axel Foley. He's good, but a bit of a maverick.

WARK
These aren't real police officers though, are they? They're not even British.

SIR IAN
Well, Kirsty, who's the racist now, eh?

END

Excellent. So "the filth" are racist in the UK as well, eh?

Ah now that is an inspired punchline, I hope NR is receptive as this lot deserve to get through.

Nice. :)

Good job Graham.

That was a good punchline

Haha. I love that line for some reason.
