And their chips are actually crisps. And their cookies are actually biscuits! Don't get me started on jelly.
Why are the Yanks funnier than us Brits? Page 7
-O why not?
F*cking Yanks. Good job we got rid of them in 1776 (or whenever - correct me if I'm wrong - I'm sure you will)
Quote: David Chapman @ June 12, 2007, 11:39 PMI agree with Containsnuts. If it's so structured I don't find it funny. Also I agree Family Guy is brilliant but - Walker - saying animation is different? Obviously it's different but the script is much funnier.
You didn't read what i said. Animation is different because it has no limitations (except for the whole race/politics/offensive stuff obviously) so they can be versatile. What "real life" sitcom could do a storyline based on a character going into space? Or going whaling? Etc. Hence why they can be funnier.
I love the insane amount of hatred you all have for us.
I actually agree with most of it...except that we call Coke...coke...we all Root Beer, Root Beer...and so on.
Other than that, it's all pretty true.
I do hate our accents.
However, I've never gotten used to the whole cookie/biscuit thing...biscuit is a warm, fluffy, bread roll...not a baked, hard, sweet, chocolatey round thing.
Oh well. Agree to disagree.

They call jam jelly. And jelly jello. Or something equally backwards.

Quote: Aaron @ June 13, 2007, 3:10 PMAnd their Coke tastes like Pepsi. Ew.
Pepsi is superior to Coke anyway. Coke's too acidic. Hell yeah I said acidic.
What I don't like is when the British say "like" all the time. Americans are welcome to say it, you know, it's just when you get those bimbos who think it's attractive to sound American. And talk in Rising Questiong Intonation after watching too many Australian soap operas (!)
Yeah, it's like, so annoying.
We don't really hate Americans, it's just tradition to pretend that we do. Like the French.
I love some American accents. Mainly the ones in the East. Although Boston(ites?) sound mental.

HA!! One of the many things I couldn't stand about Australia.

I always said...Boston is the little Australia of America.

Yeah I know..it's like HELLOOO!
I don't like it when the Americans say "like" all the time...but I can't NOT do it. I'm not only American...I'm Californian...we STARTED the whole "like" thing. Not to mention, "dude", "rad", "sweet", and "awesome".
