Let's call it a 'coming out' party. I loved Saved By the Bell when I was a kid and I still watch it when it comes on. Yes it was a stupid, terribly unoriginal, sitcom with so many bad jokes you could shake a stick at'em! BUT it was probably the first 'sitcom' I watched growing up that I watched on my own. Without parents around, it was mine and it had a beginning and an end (of sorts). So now whenever I tell you how bad 'Back to You' is you can link back to this post.
Saved By the Bell appreciation thread
Well, I loved and adored Zach.
Never actually liked Screech I'm afraid. He was just annoying. The Kramer of Saved By The Bell, if you will.
Zach looks much better now than he did then, though. (even from the perspective of my 14 years old self)
Um, without wanting to sound both sick and indeed wrong, I preferred him then...
He's still good looking now of course, but he looked so cute blonde!

I think he looked too... err... polished?
Men only start looking really good after 30 to me. I'm weird.
Well I like em old too (not that that's old)
But you know, young, bright of eye, dewy of skin, blonde of hair...
Oh christ... I'll be back in a while...

Are you sure about the "d"s?

Ah.

And every boy's dream, the 'older woman'. Cor.
It reminds me of another American teeney thing 'Swinging on a Star'. That girl, Evie, who lived with her mother and had a martian father that lived in a box thing on her bedside cabinet. Oh yes, and she had Doug McClure as next door neighbour.
I remember that too.
My Two Dads was better though.
God, My Two Dad's was ace! I'd forgotten all about it.
I never really cared for boys.
I loved Kelly. So much. So incredibly much.
BTW, College Years are actually pretty decent - too bad the audiences had not grown up by then.
The New Class thing was an abomination.
Oh my god, I actually loved Saved by the Bell! I've seen every single episode. When Zach and Kelly got married, it was amazing!

Oh yea...that thing. If you thought Saved by the Bell was bad...*shudder* the New Class family fun hell.

I remember that. It was this made for tv movie right? I barely remember it now. Did that come after the College years show?
yes, it was the last thing they did. When they realized College Years was not a hit, they hastily shot the made-for-TV wedding film.
It was the first sitcom I (and many others around me) ever saw. Therefore it has a somewhat special place in my heart. Kinda like the first pop band you loved as a teen, and later, as you and your taste matured, realized how bad it actually was... but it is still your guilty pleasure after 20 years
