The other most frequently cited origins were English (6.6 million), French (4.9 million), Scottish (4.7 million), Irish (4.4 million), German (3.2 million), Italian (1.4 million), Chinese (1.3 million), North American Indian (1.3 million), Ukrainian (1.2 million) and Dutch (1.0 million).
So that's what? Around 70% European.
Some places like Toronto visible minorities are half the population.

Many individual words are of French extraction, yes. But they have been Anglicised. And English is a Germanic language with more Germanic than frog sounds to its pronounciation.

A report in August 2008 from the Census Bureau projects that by 2042 non-Hispanic whites will no longer make up the majority of the population. This is a revision of earlier projections which projected this demographic change to take place in 2050. Today non-Hispanic whites make up about 68% of the population. This is expected to fall to 46% in 2050. This, as a result of a much older white population, relative to minorities. The report foresees the Hispanic population rising from 15% today to 30% by 2050. Today African Americans make up 12% of the population, in 2050 they are projected to comprise 15% of the population. Asian Americans make up 5% of the population today and they are expected to make up 9% in 2050. The U.S. has nearly 305 million people today. The population is projected to reach 400 million by 2039 and 439 million in 2050.
In 2050, the nation's population of children is expected to be 62% minority, up from 44% today. Thirty-nine percent are projected to be Hispanic (up from 22% in 2008), and 38% are projected to be single-race, non-Hispanic white (down from 56% in 2008).

In some sense probably. We've evolved a lighter pigmentation, or rather lost it, because of our lack of exposure to the sunlight. Are you deliberately goading people into calling you a racialist Aaron?

Yep. It becomes especially obvious if you look at Northern German.
Example: I have a little house. - Ick hev en lütt Hus. - Ich habe ein kleines Haus.
The most basic words are of Germanic origin. But for all the other words there are at least a Germanic and a French version.
