Peter Ackroyd is as mad as a fish. I do try to catch his TV appearances. I missed the Thames one on TV but heard a programme about it on Radio Four.

He once did an interview with the appalling Deborah Orr from the Independent who tried to ingratiate herself into his company by trotting out some lame historical fact. He said something like "Deborah even my cleaner knows that, stop being such a stupid c**t."

Laughing out loud

There was a series about Britain's buildings or something (I forget what it was exactly) on towards the end of last year, I think BBC Two, in which the final (?) episode was different in each region. He did the London one, and was praising of the development of London's skyline with all of those horrible jaggedy messy steel and glass buildings which they're planning at present.

I always think he resembles some kind of Brylcreem'd walrus.

How do you get a workstation picture put on here?

Take a photo. Upload it somewhere (Photobucket, ImageShack, etc). Then do the image business.

I worked out the taking a picture bit and the uploading it to PC bit a long time ago. Expalin this 'do the image thing...' as I have never need to before!

Take the image's URL and put [image] in front of it and [ /image] at the other end.

Any one wanna see my "Work" Work station?

Yep!
