No, I just love where I live and think that the flag is pretty. 
My house has been completely flooded, so I am classing it as a ship for flag purposes.

I'm part-way through. Am a slow reader, unfortunately. All of the books at that end of the desk are about London. It is a great (in both senses of the word) book though, you're right. Very insightful. Did you see the BBC adaptation of it? How about Thames, or the ITV adaptation of that (which finished on Thursday IIRC)?
And I'm not too big on novels - tend to read for knowledge rather than entertainment - but I do quite like his style so will no doubt check it out at some point.
