Embarrassing incident with The Mighty Boosh...

Does anybody watch this show? I don't really, and the only bloke I would recognise would be Noel Fielding mainly because of his hair.

Anyway,I was at a screening a couple of weeks ago, when this bloke started talking to me. It went something like this...

HIM: Hi, how are you, what was your involvement in the show?

ME: Oh you know, I was assisting. It's with an idea of getting into commissioning one day.

HIM: Oh really? so if I wanna get a show on TV I should just come to you?

ME: (LAUGHING INCREDIBLY NERVOUSLY) Oh I dunno about that! I don't know much myself at the moment!

HIM: Yeh....but....nevermind.

Turns out it was Rich Fulcher.

Whoops.. unlucky..

Turns out it was Rich Fulcher.

Not sure what your point is?

Hmmm, ok, I had no idea who he was!

But your idea of getting into comissioning. Comissioning what and how?

I bumped into the Mighty Boosh and called them
"talentless shits,"

oops!

I should have said,

"talentless, over rated shits, who are one of the worst examples of mindless conservative TV scheduling,"

I made a similar mistake with Jim Davidson.

I saw him in Sainsburys and forgot to stab him.

Ah ok, at the moment I'm getting a lot of experience at production companies learning about what kind of programmes they go for, what makes a good programme etc. Ideally, one day, I'd like to get to the old heights of Lucy Lumsden at BBC . Although all commissioning is questionable at times......

And in English please?

haha bravo, sootyj!! He looked at me like I was supposed to know who he was, which was kind of arrogant.

I'd like to stab Jim Davidson.

Mainly for his crimes against women and comments on their pubic hair.

And in English please?

Marc what exactly are you asking me? There are commissioning departments in a lot of production companies. That is where I'd like to be..

What is your point here sootyJ?

What show was it you were watching at the screening?

I've read this several times and the only bit I understand is Jim Davidson getting stabbed. What's emabarrassing about it and who's supposed to be embarrassed?

I'm a bit confused too... but then I know nothing.

Had to goodle who he was. Oopps.

A sharp one rammed into his stupid face repeatedly, before hacking him to pieces alla Dexter. The only "nick nick" being a bonesaw bouncing off a particularly tough bone.

Also I was trying to say that Boosh are dull, not especially funny and repative. But they get endless premier slots because they're predictable and safe.

If I'm paying a licence fee, it's not for a station to act like a safe commercial minded digital station.

I think Jenuff thinks Rich thought Jenuff should have known who he was.

But from the dialogue I don't really see why Jenuff thinks that.

I guess you had to be there.

I don't think they're dull or predictable. But of course 'funny' is subjective.
