The recent post about age got me thinking about how people these days act, look, and dress younger, than they did 20 years ago. Homer Simpson is the perfect example of this. The last time his age was mentioned, he was meant to be 39, but, when the show first started, 20 years ago, he was meant to be 36! Now, I know Homer Simpson isn't real, but Matt Groening obviously thought he acted/looked/dressed like the average 36-year-old, when he first created him. Er, that's all I wanted to say really.

It may have something to do with current fashion being pretty much a rehash of what 'old people' wore when they were younger. We're no longer living in a period of radical change with respect to fashion. Pandora's box was opened a long time ago.
Speaking of age, what's the deal with Johnny Vegas playing the Father, in that new Ralph Little sitcom? I suppose BBC 3 thought their target demographic wouldn't be able to handle having a real middle aged person on teir screens.

Nor do I. Turn your baseball cap forward, wear a belt......also wear some cuff links.
