It's not particularly geeky to celebrate contact with real people. :P

Who said that that's what I was celebrating? ;)

Rolling eyes

It is, AFAIK.

Anyone missing from it, please raise your hand now.

Should that be AFAIC?

And I may bring a guest. Is that OK?

Just booked up the hotel in Greenwich for me and Seefacts. We're staying overnight tomorrow so you may have to suffer us until late. Sorry.

See everyone who can make it tomorrow then! Wave

By the way for those of you new to London Transport, it is much cheaper to buy an oyster card at the first tube station that you visit and load it up with £10 or so instead of buying ordinary tickets. Any funds left over can be used on later trips to London, or you can cash it in (I think)

I'll be getting a travelcard which covers everything for the day for £7.

May only be for certain areas but MAY be cheaper than an Oyster. Definitely for me though.

And is certainly a hell of a lot easier.

Yes, and 'care'?

I know it's a cliche, but I've had a really hectic week, so won't be coming. If I lived closer, I'd be there like a shot. Maybe next time.

:| Loyalty has got the better of me, so I'm out.

Have fun y'all Wave

This is good advice. I think Oyster still have the mandatory initial top-up of £3 so really you're only topping up £7, and anything remaining you can use when you're next in London.

It's a £3 deposit on the card itself, I think you get it back if you cash in the card.

Eh? so you can cash in the cards now?!

I wouldn't know though because I buy monthly zones 1-3. Have done for the last two years.

Or you could just vault the tube barriers.

Actually, wait, don't do that... meeting everyone whilst riddled with bullet holes isn't going to leave a great first impression.
