Karl Pilkington and Ricky Gervais Podcasts

I know I'm late to this but I have just discovered the joy of comedy podcasts on iTunes. I knew of Karl Pilkington and the Ricky Gervais podcasts but had never actually heard them.

While having a look around iTunes I found a bonus hour that was free to download. So I listened to this and nearly split my sides laughing so hard. I liked it so much I bought the first season of podcasts (as I found out, I missed the boat when they were free to download).

Now that I have found all this comedy on podcasts it's like a new world has opened up. I've also got stuff from Collings & Herrin, Russell Brand and Stephen Fry. It's actually a case of overload as there is so much out there.

Def.

I prefer Russell Brand on telly to on radio. But there's no need to be rash, Griff!

Ricky, Stephen and Karl really are the best podcasters though, I reckon.

If you want a good and funny podcast, my favourite (although in fairness, I have only ever listened to 2 others) has to be fat-pie's

Bloody good stuff if you like silly humour.

Karl is a comedy genius.

I could listen to his stories all day long.

Especially how he wasn't allowed round his mate's house to play on his Atari so had to do it through the window, or how is dad put an irritating kid into a bin.

His dad's ace! Stole all that food left in a village... phone box?
Something like that.

Or how his neighbour once caught him spying on her through the window so he pulled his trousers down to show her a bit of arsecheek in repayment. Yeah the Gervais / Pilkington / Merchant podcasts are fantastic, although it's little more than intellectual bullying.

The Collings and Herring podcasts are a little erratic but turn up really funny stuff sometimes - plus they're an hour long so even better value! Excellent for walking the pooch to. (not a masturbation euphemism)

Adam and Joe's XFM podcasts are also very good. And Steven Fry's can get a bit high brow but my God I could listen to that man talk all day.

I guess, but I think Gervais isn't as clever he thinks he is, and Karl is simply a very leftfield thinker. He may come across as stupid but but he come up with some great angles on common ideas.

(On gay men) "If it's all about the arse, why don't they like a bit of tit?"

"Why do you never see an old man eating a Twix?"

I also think Merchant is the funnier of the double act.

It's not bullying, Karl knows they love him really. He's always round Ricky's house.

Yeah, I bet Karl is a good laugh actually.

I wish I had celebrity friends.

Griff In Cheap Shot Shock

Or 'Griff Stricken'.

What's the difference between Griff and a can of Watneys?

Nothing, they're both old and bitter.

Only kidding, I'm in a good mood so am just messing. :D

What's the difference between Seefacts and a CAN OF PISS -

oh I won't bother.

Yes, of course it was a cheap shot. I save the quality stuff for special occasions.

Ha, yeah don't waste them on me!

I've just listened to the first podcast by these guys and didn't find it funny at all. It was pleasant enough listening to them but that was about all. I'm not sure if I will download any further ones.
