Ok, in addition to an old friend/coworker dying, I've just been notified that another friend from long ago died this morning. And my daughter's best friend's mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and so was another good friend's mother.

Thanks. I'm doing ok. Only one of the people who has passed away recently was a close friend, but I don't like growing older and having death affect my life on an ever-increasing basis. We all know that by the time you're 70 years old one of your primary topics of discussion is death, dying and medical conditions and I'm not looking forward to it.
And now I just read that singer/actor Jerry Reed (Cledus 'Snowman' Snow in 'Smokey and the Bandit') died.
