NewsRevue again! Page 12

The one thing I had done by NewsRevue had a similar punchline to Mikey's. It was about Tony Blair pulling out of Cherie quicker than he pulled out of Iraq! Arf!

oh bugger. :| sorry.

I guess great minds think alike :P

If you've got an in-box you must be gay-ish!

lol Some people call me a metrosexual, :P

It's ok, I wasn't insinuating plagarism. I think that style of punchline is pure NewsRevue.

He's a Catholic now, or soon will be, so you can probably use it again.

Pastiche away I am the real Slim Shady after all.

Ah. ok :)

Yeah, NR seem to like either word-play punches or silly shock endings.

But I STILL can't nail Treason's style. :(

That's how I originally used it. He was explaining that being a catholic meant no contraception and then Cherie delivered her 'pull out' line.

This week's NewsRevue running order.
Sorry about the formatting. Hard to read, I know.
Maybe someone can post a neater version.

Cool. :)
Have u posted your 2 sketches in Critique so that we can read them? :)

Anybody go to today's meeting? Yes, I'm looking at you, sootyj.

Yes and as a reward I get to write the whole of the next show.

In my honor it's being renamed,

The Sootyj Jew's Revue

It was good to meet the current and next director.

And the writers weren't as Troglodyte as I was expecting

Quote: Griff @ August 30 2008, 11:31 PM BST

Yeah I went. It was fun. Possibly more social than productive. But a splendid afternoon and I've come away with some ideas to write up.

I've had some thoughts about how the writers meeting could be structured next time. It would have been good if we'd been broken into groups - this table songs, this table sketches, this table voiceover gags - and then the director had said "OK you guys I want a sketch about X, you guys I want a song about Y, you guys I want some gags about Z". I'll suggest that next time.

What do you think, Sooty?

Good plan I'd set homework in advance.

Also I'd make it big stuff like runner skits and song medleys.

How was it done? And who's the new director? And other questions I haven't thought of.
