Can't believe Newcastle have sold James Milner (well, I can). I suppose if he was committed to leaving it's for the best. But I'm not happy, especially as we've hardly bought anyone this window. :(

Despite living 15 minutes walk away from The Reebok Stadium, and considering myself a Bolton fan, I also have a strong affinity with NUFC as I was born in Consett to an NUFC mad fatha. I have to say, I think the Milner deal is a good bit of business. He's a very tidy player but not a world beater and that's a half decent fee KK got for him. Having said that, NUFC certainly need more strength in depth - that is a concern.

Also odd is that I can't see who Milner will replace in that Villa team? Front two (Carew & Agbonlahor) compliment each other perfectly and the midfield is ideal? Young, Reo-Coker, Sidwell & Petrov is one of the best midfields in the Premiership for my money.

Nice bit of cash but Leeds (is it?) get around 4m of it I think. I think he just wanted more money tbh, plus I think he enjoyed working with O'Neill.

Ah - didn't realise Leeds were in line for a nice lump of cash. Not such a great deal then! But, as Roy Keane says so often, no point in keeping a player who doesn't want to be at the club.

Prezunctly! Let him go if he's that miffed. Just hope we can get a couple more signings. We're very thin in places.

Did you see Taylors comedy goalkeeping again at the weekend. At least he didn't go down like he was in Platoon like last time.

Man U aren't having a good night. Pleased

Anyway, don't forget to PM me Ian with your transfer before the action begins tomorrow.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me Jack.

Yeah! Saw it on Football First on Sky. He's getting rather good - Shay must be worried!

As long as Shay keeps saving the penalties he can carry on. ;)
