Have you ever sent a script to a famous actor? Page 2

Waiting for a feedback from a very well-known comedy actor regarding a lead in one of my sitcoms. But that's only because my producer managed to get it through the back door via another TV actor who was friends with the actor and his manager. No way the script would ever get to him if a nobody like me sent it.

What I would suggest is use your perfect actor's "voice" when writing your script, as that will help you to write the character's dialogue and give him/her a distinctive voice. Then, if you get interest from a producer, you can always mentiont the actor's name when they ask you if you have any casting ideas (which they almost certainly will). Good luck with it.

Yup, writing for a particular actor is a good way of getting your script picked up, especially if that actor is looking for a vehicle.
Send it to a production company that has worked with that actor though, rather than the acter themselves - I would've thought.

oOO, nice bandavatar Simon. Maybe the best.

Thanks, he's a talented lad. Btw, did I tell you I'm taking the lead role in the remake of Knightrider?

What happened to yours Nil? It looked great.

I own that graphic novel - is that the one where Robin dies?

No, it's the one where Batgirl's crippled.

I vaguely remember. I'm sure I had one where Robin was blown up. By the Joker.

Replace the word Script with Dildo in this thread and my answer would still be no.

Helpful.

Helpful.

That's what one of the actors might have said had I sent a Dildo to them.

Twas both, that's why it kicks ass. Death to all bat sidekicks!!!!!

Bandages avatar of me was great. Again, thankyou Mr B. It will appear again, maybe when all the fuss has died down, and Aaron's not moaning so much. Well, maybe not that long. :)

Twasn't. The Joker killed Robin in the mini-series "A Death In The Family" after a public vote.

Avatar, no problem. To be honest, Afinkawan's and Gavin's avatars widdle all over my efforts from a great height.

And I've never sent a script to a famous actor. Perhaps the next poster has had a different experience.

2nd schoolboy error today. :$ I really need to revisit my comic collection.

Anyway, Death to all bat sidekicks!!!!!!!!! is still valid. :)

Not really - batgirl didn't die.

That's just wishful thinking on my behalf.

Being seriously f**ked up by The Joker is good enough for me. I can't see her battling crime from her wheelchair. Ok, Ironside did, but not in the same way.
