Bad phone interview

As i'm actually unemployed at the moment, i though i'd put together a phone interview send up on Adobe Audition.

It cuts off the end for some reason, but the person just hangs up after the last line. So it didn't cut off much.

As ever, i'm playing all the parts (no friends, you see).

Laughing out loud Good voices too!

I thought my 'Sandra' was the best
:P

I felt like I could have listened to that all day, it wasn't laugh out loud funny, I just found it rather amusing listening to, almost like I was listening on the other line.

(Don't take that as a bad thing I'm still rating this pretty high).

And yes, I thought the voices were good too.

Thanks. Yeah, it was more like a load of lines shoved together than a coherent piece. I'm just trying to get used to performing and editing using adobe.

I really enjoyed and savoured the performance - you seem to be a natural :)

It was well performed and there were some good gags in there.

It could have moved quicker though (you really tested the patience with that hold music) and it didn't end on much of a high. If I spend five minutes with the guy I at least want to know whether he got the job or not!

And you could have spiced things up by changing the slides every once in a while. There's a whole new layer of comedy you're not exploiting there.

Yeah, youtube cut off the last 10 seconds! All you hear is a ringtone, and the interviewer saying '....Mr Jones?'

To be honest, i only did it because i saw a setting on audition that said 'telephone frequency'. I should, in retrospect, have expanded the idea.

Nothing to add to the comments above. But I enjoyed it so I thought I would post anyway.

Cheers Timbo. Has anyone here done anything on cool edit that i could listen to, or offer any hints on how to get your work out to radio stations?

Pretty good Flaner.

Very listenable - good performance.

What's cool edit?

What's cool edit?

It's an audio editing program you should be able to get quite easy off the net. Cool Edit Pro, it's called.

I see. I've not edited anything on Cool Edit (I'm a pro logic guy) but I've done a fair few audio things. You can check them out on the 'Naptime' page at my website below.

Peas out.

Love the photos you've chosen to accompany the speech on the Naptime teasers. Where do you get your sounds from? It took me ages to find bloody Greensleeves.
