But I was trained at the elite KGB satire academy for 12 years to infiltrate the British comedy establishment.

Alas we never covered grammar.

You're an inspiration to us all (for the first bit). Keep it up!

Good stuff. Didnt even realise this was posted, had to go looking on the writers discussion forum to find it.

I have heard of this, more proof that there's a finite number of good ideas in the world.

Good stuff.

It's the Glengarry GLen Ross of comedy course plays.

Jees again a brilliant interview. I may give up writing now, there's no way I can be as funny as David and Sootyj

That was very amusing. This "Meet the Writers" is the only reason I stray away from General... yet to be dissapointed. :)

Ooh, I remember that. Weird shit. In a good way.

Woo, let's break the second page on this mutha!

Well thanks for all your kind thoughts.

May main advice is write alot and write stuff that isn't good.

Then examine why it isn't and watch comedy.

Also comedy can always be shorter and simpler.

Only just read it soot - nice one - love your stuff already, as you know! :)

So far step 1's going well.

But all that in one year? Sheesh

Will be sure to check for these interviews in future - just catching up on the back catalogue, very interesting

Thanks, in on Writing there's a very good bit about how if you're at all commited you have to write daily.

And that you have to read a lot too.
Which I don't always do enough of.

But remember your talent is a knife, what ever it's size if you don't sharpen it, it's useless.

I think his intros to his books are the best bits.
