Condoms result in a loss of sensation, as does as an unretracted foreskin. So if I am using a condom with an unretracted foreskin a sensitive bell-end is an asset.
I did once see an urologist about getting a short back and sides but he advised against. He also volunteered that I was "above average".

I'll advocate it in your words. If your mate had it done at eight days he wouldn't have had the double pain later of the foreskin stretch AND the snip. Dunno in terms of pleasure though, you'll have to ask someone who was old enough to note the difference.
