Madrid Airport

EXT. A RUNWAY - DAY

A man is wearing a luminous vest, ear protection and holding 2 lights sticks to point planes in the right direction. He is just finishing a banana. He throws the banana skin over his shoulder. Another man (man2) dressed the same way comes over to him and points at the skin on the ground.

MAN2
(Speaking with a Spanish accent)
What are you doing? You can't drop litter on the runway

MAN1
(Also with a Spanish accent)
Like one little banana skin is going to affect a big plane

Did I miss something in the news?

I stop monitoring the news for 5 minutes and look what happens!

I don't get a sketch!

Airplane accident in Madrid. The plane has skidded over the end of the runway and gone up in flames.

Aah not bad then

No reports, yet. The rumour is two dead and about 40 injured.

Hadn't heard the news but works given the circumstance. I assume he's holding the two light sticks in one hand? Just want to make sure he's got enough left for the banana :)

Chris must have planted that banana skin on the runway. He seems to have written the sketch before the event.

Does no-one else think it's a bit off to make cracks about an accident involving people who have yet to go cold (most likely because they're still on fire?)

Does anyone monitor this forum? How funny are these crap jokes about the air crash that's just happened in Madrid?

I'm just confused about why two Spanish airport employees are speaking English to each other. THIS IS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN.

Another fair point.

To be fair, it's not a crap joke, just appallingly timed.

Don't give up the day job gents!
