The claustrophobic episode

Watching Lab Rats this week, I thought that the latest episode, all done on one set, was the best of the series so far. Yes, I know, it hasn't been great, but episodes like this show promise and hope, so I hope it gets a second series.

Anyway, it seems to me that some of the best episodes of sitcoms simply involve the use of one set and a lot of talking. Just thinking about it, the entire series of dinnerladies never left the canteen. Then you have individual episodes like The Trial from One Foot in the Grave, A Night In from Porridge, The Radio Ham from Hancock, and Earthanasia from The Goodies.

Can anyone point me to some more closed-set episodes like those mentioned?

Game On? Most episodes rarely left the living room, let alone the flat.

Black Books rarely left the shop/kitchen.

Virtually all of Rising Damp took place in a few rooms. I can't remember any exteriors in the entire series.

The Tardis. When inside - nobody ever leaves the phallic imagery room.

Almost every single episode of Are You Being Served?.

Open All Hours was very shop-centric.

Hancock's Half Hour 'The Lift' as well...

Not British but Friends - The One Where No One's Ready. It was on today.

Hancock. That didn't travel much did it? I remember them being on a place once, but I think that episode was mostly set on the plane.

Game On travelled about a little bit. The occasional excursion outside, to the office, to the curry shop. I'm a Game On afficionado, so don't try and argue with me.

Is that the one where Joey splats Phoebe's dress with some guacamole and she covers it up with an enormous Christmas ornament?

I like that bit.

Well I did say mostly in the living room. Not always.

No, you fool. It was hummus.

Phoebe had a great sense of hummus.

The Visit.
Smoking Room.

Yep. Also he wears all of Chandler's clothes without any underwear on.

It always struck me that Red Dwarf was more than somewhat 'claustrophobic'. Indeed, this atmosphere was put centre stage in the Duct Soup episode.
