Your actually trying to bully someone over the internet. It's unbelievable. Never mind how you write it, it's harassment.

Just move on.

It's not bullying. It's critiqueing. That's what the forum is for.
But I'll sign off. If you want amateurs backslapping amateurs until the end of time, so be it. It's been educational.
Thanks for the material, guys.

Earlier tonight, post curry, I read some of JohnnyD's script. It has some thought about characterisation, some good lines and - while not yet perfect - seems to have been written by someone with something to say.

To keep the threads easy to follow it would be better to put that on the thread with JohnnyD's work on it. Otherwise we could jump to conclusions that you only post after Charley.

I agree that serious criticism is always more useful than blind fawning, but as an outsider it does appear to me that things have escalated in a more personal way than was necessary. Even if this was not intentional, as a writer you should be aware of the power of your words and how they might be interpreted.

Best wishes.

Why have you not made a comment for Jonny D then. Or do you only like to spit out negatives to women? You should let him know that you like his work. A man of your 'suposed' profession.

Sorry Badge I was in the middle of writing the exact same thing & did not see yours. LOL.

Ladies, ladies! Calm! I demand calm, damnit!

*cracks whip*

Now kiss and make up.

Dooooo it!

I am aware of the power of words. What's the point otherwise?
As for things getting personal, I reckon I'm the one who has taken abuse. I've a thick skin, though.
Anyway, I concede I have been run out of town.
Happy to offer critiques to anyone who wants to PM if my bluntness is too much for the board.

Goodnight and best wishes

You had your critique, we had ours, most of us enjoyed charleys piece and could see more into it. It was inspiring and enjoyable.

Sure it was no Shakespeare, but I'm sure your 20 year career hasn't lived up to much, seeing as none of us have heard of you or seen your work.

*cracks whip again*

Watch it, you lot.

Och, it pays the bills.

My assessment of your writing has nothing to do with your gender. That's an appalling thing to suggest.

I have been in contact with JohnnyD by PM.

Why dont you put your experience to good use. Leave a comment for Jonny D. Have a gander at some other sketches. No one is telling you to bog off, just get away from me now please. You have made yourself perfectly clear. Over and over & over *Big f**koff yawn* again.

*reaches for the mace*

Come on Aaron, he's clearly trying to bait people.

That charmlessness oozes out of your "writing".

Thats a big mace Aaron is it new?

Which begs the question... public critique for some, private for others - why?

Don't worry Alan, it's rhetorical.

Too much pathetic bitchery. Thread closed.
