What are you eating? Page 31

Isn't that what we call "haslet" over here ?

I thought it was scrabble for dyslexics, I've been patronised all these years!

I reckon that guy had been eating artichokes.

Dear Lord Griff are you trying to become me?

Quote: DaButt @ August 13 2008, 6:33 PM BST

Similar to a roll or a scone, but not sweet. Basically a hunk of bread.

Sounds more like a dumpling.

Cheese & Onion sensations with nuts

Not really. Dumplings are cooked in liquid and are closer to pasta. A biscuit is bread-like. Don't the McDonald's there serve breakfast sandwiches made with biscuits?

No because people would think they were cookies.

No they just sell offal and industrial alcohol. It's all we Brits like to eat.

Surely they could make up a new name? AmeriBun? YankBread? BisKKKit?

No alcohol at U.S. McDonald's.

I just checked the UK McD's website and it looks like your breakfast sandwiches are mostly the same (bagels, "English" muffins) but you're getting shortchanged in the biscuit department. Not that I eat there more than once per year ...

McDonald's breakfasts are in muffins here, not bagels or these 'biscuit' things.

Unless you order the pancakes of course. That would be a bit messy.

And they don't sell alcohol here either. Don't believe anything sooty ever says. :P

The UK McD's website showed bagels. Errr

And they sell (or sold?) a breakfast sandwich here that replaced the bun with pancakes with syrup injected inside:

I've had beer at a McD's somewhere in the distant past. Maybe Germany or Panama?

One more nail in the coffin of irony.

They sell beer at the KFC at the Tower of London.

The majesty of our royal family obviously drives foreigners to drink and junk food.

Reminds me of this story I read a few days ago:

P.S. I prefer the Big Kahuna Burger.

Oh yes, they started doing a different range recentlyish with bagels. The majority are muffins though. The equivalent of what you linked to, are muffins. The McMuffin, to be precise.

Economics: Screw everyone else for as much as possible, and rake it in yourself.

Basically.

It's a fascinatingly accurate yardstick of comparative econmies.

Except looking at the figures it makes Indonesia twice as rich as US.

Go Indonesia!

Hmmm. I need to eat, apparently. Ice cream doesn't count.
