Help me translate Turkish for Beginners Page 8

Mainly I wasn't sure about "forbidding".

But consensus appears to be that it's alright.

Thanks, guys!

ah - not sure about 'way uncool'. Bit uncool. ;)

:$ I say "way" a lot!

Way? That's way cool.

I've never heard you post way?

I'm a fan of the Capital of North Vietnam.

Can "alas" be used in dialogue?

It's part of a speech that's a bit mocking.

Yes.

Thanks!

If the indefinite article is stressed, can I do the following:

*a* anti-depressant?

Somehow the sentence doesn't scan well if I put 'an'.

Ermmmmm. Should really be 'an'. I think. I was never any good with correct terms for languistical elements and structures. (What the f**k is a past participle? :S)

I've not yet watched episode 2 by the way. I will try to tomorrow! Have been trying to work out this IT Crowd DVD...

Cool - have you got anywhere with it? Episode 2 is actually better than Episode 1. Love the Celine Dion bit.

Another thing you've missed by not learning German. Poor Aaron.

Maybe Robyn knows. She wants to study this stuff at uni after all.

Wrt. Ep. 2: In your own time. :)

I've found so many typos and clumsy translations already, that I'm tempted to correct it and then convert it again, anyway. Since I'm not going for the 25 GB version anymore, it won't even occupy my computer for hours. On the other hand, I'm already in the midst of episode 3...

Found it to be jolly good fun? Or just addictive?

There must be a way you could get paid for this. I'll figure something out.

Both I guess. To produce something or make something work is just gratifying. And I think I'm even a bit good at it, too. Also, it's a bit like a puzzle. Hope you like it! (But do say so if you don't!)

You meant Simon, didn't you?

No, I meant you, Finck. :)
