What works better (if at all)?

1) I was gonna do a course on psychology, but couldn't work out how I felt about it.

2) I nearly didi a course on psychology, don't know what I was thinking.

I was going to do a course on psychology but the voices told me not to.

I was going to do a course on pushcology, but then I realised it's the rest of the world that had a problem with me.
