Don't gob on them!
Bad day? Page 76

Ha - I'm not Frank Rjikaard!! (Football joke)
Quote: roscoff @ August 9 2008, 7:49 PM BSTThere was a great clip on 'Soccer AM' of a granny giving Thierry Henry the finger.
It's crap now Lovejoy's etc. left.
That's another gross thing sports people do!
Not just footballers.

Didn't Graeme Souness's wife give him the finger quite often? . . . If Dwight Yorke is to be believed . . .
Quote: Nil Putters @ August 9 2008, 7:51 PM BSTIt's crap now Lovejoy's etc. left.
TBH I only watched it a couple of times after he left. And that's why.

Same here. That Andy whatshisface is shit. 'Hells Bells' is still a corker though.
Quote: Seefacts @ August 9 2008, 7:44 PM BSTYeah, it IS. As you say, it must be the tribal instinct. But I have the intelligence to separate that from my normal life. Many don't.
So basically, you're largely unevolved, but more evolved than others.
Quote: PhQnix @ August 9 2008, 7:47 PM BSTIt's weird. You see perfectly normal people shout the most ridiculously violent things on the terraces. I think many people treat it as a release.
I think there should be a new sport, where us nice middle and upper types go and beat the working classes. Much more civilised.

It's called a Tory government.
It's a very beautiful thing.
*wipes a tear of joy*
As you may have witnessed on her before football makes me illogically emotional.
My team don't start until next week - not because we're a big team but even smaller than those who started today.
And with crowds of around 400 everyone can hear every word you bellow.
Quote: Aaron @ August 9 2008, 6:17 PM BSTI've got a much better idea. Abolish football!
Abolish YOU!
Quote: zooo @ August 9 2008, 6:56 PM BSTI agree there's no point.
I've never actually been to a match so I don't speak from personal experience, just that most people I know who do attend say that they hear stuff aaall the time (mostly anti black type stuff) and that they would never take their kids there.
I'm glad if it's not as widespread as I think though.
I've been to trillions of games and never heard anything racist at all. Lots of gay remarks made at players, but never any racist ones.
Quote: Aaron @ August 9 2008, 7:17 PM BSTBut football is more for the poor.
Have you seen ticket prices these days?
Quote: ian_w @ August 9 2008, 11:10 PM BSTAbolish YOU!
I'm not football.
Quote: ian_w @ August 9 2008, 11:10 PM BSTHave you seen ticket prices these days?
No. Because I'm not interested in things for poor people.
Quote: Aaron @ August 9 2008, 8:08 PM BSTSo basically, you're largely unevolved, but more evolved than others.
Your patriotism is exactly the same thing.
Quote: Aaron @ August 9 2008, 11:11 PM BSTNo. Because I'm not interested in things for poor people.
If you went to matches regularly you probably would be poor!
Quote: ian_w @ August 9 2008, 11:17 PM BSTYour patriotism is exactly the same thing.
Go on...?
