Ok, Olympics have started and the medal table already has three names on it:

But there are many events still to go.
1st is the Relay. This is going to be the hardest event. I'll start off by nominating a BSG member, then they nominate another member and then they nominate another and so on - this is how the baton is passed on. BUT if the nominated member fails to reply within 1 hour (except between 1 am and 10am in the morning) then the baton is dropped and both members are knocked out of the competition. You can't nominate the person who just nominated you. The competition closes on Monday. Whoever's still in it, gets a medal.
Once the baton is dropped anyone can pick it up.

*Just to make it interesting, the baton game finishes at 6pm, with the gold medal being awarded to the 2nd from last person to be left holding it at this time. Silver, third from last, bronze, fourth.*
2nd is the High Jump. High-brow comments made in other threads are linked to in this thread and the one with the most syllables per word wins the poster a medal.
3rd is the 100 metres posts. The person who posts the 100th post in this thread wins Gold, 99th post silver and 98th Bronze.
To kick everything off... I nominate our current medal leader - JuliaC - to start the relay.
Or another idea that's much better.
