Where are people at with their writing? Page 2

{AJP said: I've written a sitcom pilot which i've given up on as it was rejected by the writersroom, a radio sketch show which i've sent to the production company.}

OMG, don't give up on anything just because it's been rejected by the writersroom! As I recently pointed out on another thread, they don't seem to pay much attention to what they're being sent (they got the title of my sitcom wrong in the returning letter) plus have you ever heard of anyone getting something produced after sending it to writersroom?

Anyway, I'm writing a sitcom, a few sketches a week (some of which I've sent in to AngelEye), a few spoof.com stories, plus a screenplay, and I'm also trying to sell a completed comedy screenplay. Sounds like a lot, but it's mainly staring at a wall whilst chewing an already too-chewed biro.

You keep on trucking, one day you'll find rest stop of writing heaven and when you do pass on my name.

I got a couple of bits on Cameron's Soccersomeday site. See here if you like football.

If you don't like football you're not allowed to.

I bloody HATE football but I'm going to look anyway. Thbbpbbth!

Ahem...as Dave says I'm mostly working on Soccer Someday. That link again incase you've lost the ability to scroll up.

Always on the lookout for new writers by the way, just drop me a line.

I'm also writing a radio series about a dead writer which is currently with The Comedy Unit in Glasgow after being passed around three people at BBC Radio Scotland. I'm also doing this...

Finally I'm also writing a feature film which is *whispers* a drama and not a comedy. Please forgive me.

I thought I'd bump this again as it seems to have fallen off the bottom.

Somebody said that to me the other day, suggesting that I must really hate football if I'm willing to come up with a whole site based on taking the mick out of it. Quite the opposite, I love football. I also happen to think that it has just enough ridiculous characters in it to generate enough comedy material.

You don't have to love football to write for Soccer Someday by the way, it just helps a little. Read the stuff that's there already and you'll see what we do.

And read about the Wags and crap in the papers and I'm sure youy'll be inspired to contribute something.

Indeed, and I'm very open to people suggesting new characters if they want to.

Oh... yes, that's true!

Objective Productions now have one of my scripts and a bunch of ideas. Huzzah and fingers crossed!

Why not? Stick it on here and it could be a best seller.

I think not...no one wants to here about how i have gone to work, gone to the gym or got a crush on the guy who's trying to give away mouth wash. Or my heart breaks when the guy i was seeing leaves me.... it sounds like a terrible chick flick.

I'll come back to you.

Rolling eyes

I think I'd better finish off my bits for the Sitcom Project.
