I guess the world really turns in circles, come back Minstrel Show all is forgiven.
Well that's because I'm a racist monster.

It's a problem that we see people, and not races?
No sadly not, there's actually very few of them.
It's the uncritical masses that's the issue.
Perhaps the issue is the context, as we aren't so clued into the whole Polynesian issue.
It would be like a stereotypical black/yardie crook being played by a blacked up Les Dennis. In which most other characters were white, and reasonable.
I know Little Britain did a similar thing, but they were knowingly ridiculous characters.

Ah well, We're just not going to agree. I think, if you'll pardon the pun, you're looking at the issue a little black and white-ly, but thats just me.

I guess if you see them completely separately that's even worse.
n.b. that's what the French do, view every one as French.
They have appalling problems with racism, by trying to ignore it.

Not really i think Jonah is an excelent and human character, in a fantastic program.
It doesn't stop me questioning the methodology, or why there's no positive representation.
Of course it crossed my mind, then I reasoned it was okay WITH THAT VERY SAME MIND!

Worse to see individuals? Rather than groups?

Not really a fair comparison, as their society is almost the binary opposite of ours much of the time. (Translation: they're quite backwards.)
I suppose this is an ongoing issue for me, and one on which I'm not certain.
I suppose it's the certainty that i find a bit perturbing.
I mean if you read my stuff, I like quite dark offensive humour.
But it doesn't mean some stuff shouldn't be challenged.

Both.

Then why do you agree with them so vehemently about race?
If I do, then it must be one of the very few things they've got right.
I suppose on this I'll have to agree to disagree with you all.
YOU WIN!!
Fab what's the prize?
