Just finished "La Casa de Bernada Alba" by Federico Garcia Lorca. SO glad that it's over with.

Scats would love that one.
Ooh - would I!? *googles*

Did you ever read Paperweight, his book of journalism? Terribly good.
I'm a terminally slow reader. Picked up Liza Picard's Victorian London whilst on holiday though, so that'll probably be my next read.
...Along with all of the others. >_<
Well just don't do what I have and put yourself off forever by having to read stupid Spanish books about sex and predicting the war.
Quote: Griff @ August 4 2008, 1:13 PM BSTBlimey, they're proper books.
How would you define a 'proper book', by way of interest, Griff?
I've almost finished The Magus by John Fowles. Almost.
Quote: Griff @ August 4 2008, 1:25 PM BSTWell, anything that isn't written by a celeb off the telly, isn't a collection of jokes found on the Internet, and doesn't involve elves counts as intellectual literature around these parts.
Cheers Griff!
I'm so disappointed that I've got so little reading for leisure done over the holidays so far...Once I do my homework it should be easier to fit it in, I hope.

Watership down. My little'un has the DVD (u! it scared her half to death when the cute bunnies starting ripping the shit outta each other) but I heard the book was even better and I do agree.
I'm rereading Bare Faced Messiah, an unathourised biography of L Ron Hubbard. Hubbard was great. Like a more extreme version of Jeffrey Archer.

Not yet. I've got it but not got round to it yet. I've not read his autobiography yet either. Maybe I'll have a Fry-season over the summer.
Get her the plague dogs, same author, same production crew.
But even nastier. The first minutes are truly nightmarish.
Or a real head messer, When the Wind Blows.

The autobiography is hilarious. Didn't like Making History very much.
