Anyone remember a sit com from the 70s or early 80s.

A Taxi Driver who falls for a lady who works in Publishing ?.

I think the real surname of the Taxi Driver was something like Hazeldene ?

Know its a long shot.

Cheers....Keith {Newbie}

And welcome to the site. :)

The actor was presumably James Hazeldine, who was a star of the era, but the sitcom doesn't ring any bells.

Aaron you are a Diamond.

Its been driving the wife and myself crazy.

My pleasure. :)

Reading this thread got me thinking about another BBC comedy possibly from the late 90s early 00s that I used to watch. I don't remember much about it at all apart from that it was pre-watershed and featured an Irish family. I remember one episode where someone was dressed up as the grim reaper and one where there was a homage to Michelangelo as one of the characters appeared to be re-creating the Sistine Chapel ceiling painting in the dining room. I remember I seemed to enjoy it though whether I would today or not is another matter though this is something that I remember from time to time but can never remember what it was called.

Fantastic theme tune by Sharon Shannon. But that was about the limit of its virtues.

I remember liking that show. I can't believe it was on so long ago.

Thanks for that, it's been bugging me for quite some time

Last person I called a diamond I was in bed with twenty minutes later.

Such class.

I like to think so.
