Jonathan Ross? When?
Don't know what episode (late one I'd imagine). But he walks past the camera as part of the platoon. It's always on those 'before they were famous' shows.

He wasn't. IMDb claims he appeared in It Ain't Half Hot Mum though.

Me, me , me . . .
What episode/series is the one where the platoon get trapped behind a fence after trying to free one of the men? I saw the clip and it looked really good ? ?
Cheers

Classic wartime sitcom. Eager for promotion Captain Mainwaring instigates a recruitment drive. It gets off to a bad start when Sgt Wilson makes a mess of the photos for the advertisement which puts L/Cpl Jones in jeopardy.
Starring: Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley, Ian Lavender
Happy 40th Birthday Dad's Army.
I have S1-5 on DVD. However, I had my DVD recorder for repairs on August 31st which meant that I couldn't start watching the first series on that date.
You only have the one?
No, I meant 1 to 5. The first five series! (I want to buy the rest as well!)
I meant DVD player...
