What are you watching on TV? Page 247

Is this highlights from this series? It seems like the previous one...

Seemed that way to me too.

There is nothing on. I'm watching some crap about looking for monsters on Virgin TV. Maybe I'll read a book. Dexters on in a bit.

A baseball game: Pittsburgh Pirates at the Chicago Cubs. My friend's band is supposed to sing "Take Me out to the Ballgame" during the 7th-inning stretch and I thought I'd try to catch the spectacle.

Ooh - home run for Chicago!

Stephen King's ruined that song for me. Bastard.

Sick I don't watch sport, but surely baseball must be one of THE dullest games invented?

Continuing the sport theme; Real Mallorca v Newcastle Utd on Setanta.

Toon Army! :)

I rarely watch televised sports unless it's an important game. Like most sports, baseball can be tedious to watch or it can be exciting. Also, like most sports, it's much more fun to attend in person. Mainly because of the beer.

But stadium beer tastes like shit!

Most stadiums sell a decent beer somewhere if you're willing to seek it out. But it won't be cheap.

I prefer drinking my own beer and grilling food in the parking lot before the game.

Wow you'd never be able to do that in the UK.

The perfidious French sold alcohol free beer with out telling the Brits at their stadiums.

"Tailgating" tends to be more closely tied to football games. Some stadiums are trying to quash the practice, but it's an American tradition.

Why do you still have Barton? Seriously - get rid. I know - 5.6 mill seems a lot, but I'm sure there's another violent footballer you could trade him for.

I didn't (neither did most fans) want him back. He's a disgrace to the club and football in general. Keegan's too soft.

I guess he didn't have too much of a choice - it's a lot of money to lose and they'd probably have to give him away.
