What are you listening to now? Page 313

I've been listening to a lot of old Rocksteady music, as it goes so well with this ridiculously hot weather. Legend has it, that one summer, in Jamaica, back in the '60s, the weather was so hot, that a lot of the Ska bands slowed down their music, to such an extent, that they created a brand new genre of music, which they called Rocksteady.

You would enjoy the compilation albums on Soul Jazz Records known as 100% Dynamite, 200% Dynamite, etc.

I love Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. I went to see Robyn Hitchcock And Friends perform it from start to finish in the Royal Festival Hall last year, all playing period instruments etc., while strange people wandered amongst the crowd giving out flowers. Bloody amazing.

I love Led Zeppelin 2 as well, but be honest, I bet you skip Moby Dick every time ?

:O skip Moby Dick! That'd be like skipping Revolution No. 9 on The White Album - it's not to be done.. never, never ever!!!

Us original 1960's guys would never skip Moby Dick.. ask Chapman!!! :P

I think that You, David Chapman and I should meet up and have a music night.

I hope you don't have any ulterior motive.

I'm sat in a Harvester restaurant at the moment, so the sound of many conversations.

I don't believe that you're actually in a Harvester with your f**king laptop!

No - course you wouldn't. Although some of the live versions go on a bit!

Let's stay together by Al Green.

I'm not a great soul fan but this man is just incredible.

And do they still have the giant figures of Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally to welcome you at the door ?

No. Not for a looooooong time. :(

What are you having to eat, Azza?

And who are you with that doesn't mind you going online during the Harvester experience? Laughing out loud

I had a Chicken Maryland. Which is a chicken breast thing in a kind of slightly spicy, crispy coating (think KFC type of thing), bacon, and half a grilled banana. But I don't like banana so my Dad has that.

I was with looooooooads of family. There were 14 of us.

And STILL online! Cripes! :(

Yep. :)

Quote: zooo @ August 2 2008, 3:51 PM BST

I've never gone online anywhere that wasn't my house, a friend's house, a university library/computer room or an internet cafe.

I haven't lived!

No, you haven't! :O

Not particularly. I can multi-task.

There's another Zoo?

I quite like her weird brown ugly shirt. (/dress/f**k knows what it is)

Actually she looks like Caroline Catz from Doc Martin.

It's like something out of the prairies.
