That's the first thing I said when it got slow; that it's because Aaron's not here.

Nothing about him being 'one with the computer' though?

It's like two separated lovers, their lives continue but only as shadows. I imagine he is languishing in some Welsh hotel, afraid of a future without his forums. The server, meanwhile, chugs away half hearted.

You have to be poetic, even when you're talking about Aaron being a machine! Laughing out loud

You've confused "poetic" with "wanky, pretentious and mildly eloquent." Actually never mind.

*gah* I've still got to write a personal statement and pick universities to apply for. Damn.

Snap. I have an open day on the 20th which I'm holding out until at the moment. That's my excuse, anyway.

I'm going to end up applying to university having only seen one. I didn't even visit that one properly either. I think I'm doing this wrong.

I don't know that there's a right way of doing it. All I know is that I'm now increasingly worried about my personal statement, and how rubbish it is!

At least yours exists! I always start and then realise I have no achievements to list, which is a bit of a worry. I should probably look into the courses some more as well. So much work, who would've though that momentous life-altering decisions would require so much effort?

I bet that it's not true that you have no achievements! I was an idiot, and given a plan to use to write mine - but ignored it totally.

The achievements thing is true. I've never really immersed myself in the rigamarole of academia, no extra-curricular activities. I waste a lot of time doing nothing.

Plans might be useful, but seeming constrained would be a dead give away for an English course.

Well, you can now put down "carrying shit", at least! Mine starts with a quote; and I'm quite pleased with my selection of that at least. When you've done yours, we can swap?

I'm trying to rally the troops for Rocky Horror now! :D
