That would stop all those chavvy spongers.
Agree totally.

That's not a bad concept!
You're not a liberal, you hate social workers.
I'm a social worker (sort of) do you mistrust my judgement on matters of life and death?
That must be the mother of all feeder lines, don't waste it.

My daughter wouldn't agree. I was quite broke and unready for a child, but everything turned out fine. I'd be more inclined to cut back on financial aid for women who seem more interested in popping out babies than working for a living.
In an abstract way I do think it would be nice if you had to qualify to have kids.
Like that mythic dog's license people always go on about.
It used to be called a Marriage Licence.
Bloody old fashioned idea that was! Didn't stop tribes of kids either. I'm uneasy about sterilising kids at birth though. It's a step too far. Maybe we could surgically attach condoms? I can see snags though..

This is like some extreme capitalism.
Well I don't seriously think they should be sterilised! Goodbye human rights!
It's just an interesting idea, to talk about.
Having a child is quite a responsibility. It's reasonable that there should be some expectation that the parent is up to it! I say parent as there are more parent than parents now!

Then for God's sake let's do it before Aaron gets back off holiday!

I raised both of my kids from the ages of 1 and 2 by myself with no assistance from their mother. It wasn't a walk in the park, but it's not that difficult if you're willing to work hard. I think people are losing touch with the importance of working hard and taking responsibility for one's actions.

Are you being rude? Or am I being rude? Who's being rude?
I was being rude!
But you may join in at any point.

Ok, right now'll do!
Face the wall so you can't see what I'm doing! And then juuuust stay like that a minute...
