Girlie Pirate Seeks... Page 17
Quote: Baumski @ May 27, 2007, 7:59 PMOut of interest, really, and all in the cause of knowing how seriously you girlies are taking this girlie pirate thing, and in order to really set off the headgear and eye patches, will you all being wearing buccaneer boots? As I say, just interested.
Hi Baumski,
I`m taking my Girlie Pirate thing absolutely seriously, honest! After all pirating is a serious business! In a couple of weeks, I`m planning to write a blog of my pirating activities & try a few podcasts. Not being a techie, it`ll be a steep learning curve, but I can but try.
Tbh, I`ve been in buchaneer boots for years. I`ve always looked like a Girlie Pirate (with a bit of Northampton Goth thrown in), the hair the eyeliner the pirate boots, the clothes. Except I do wear a parka when it rains!
Having been born in the East Midlands with no boat, no sea & just a canal, I`ve had to improvise granted, but I`ve decided to follow my chosen path where ever it takes me

Into London, if that's the Grand Union.

Jeezaloo, pictures, I must have pictures!!!
Actually, and on a far more serious angle, I reckon this alternate lifestyle has Channel 4 writen all over it. Sorry to say this but, and please stick with it, if you were to pitch your girlie pirate thing with an added bait and promise of 'sex', you could get a commission because that's what sells.
Interesting advice Baumski...
But, I might scare them off...
Hi Baumski,
Did you reply? It`s just that I couldn`t read it.

No, not you, Jude. Perish the thought and besides, I've seen the picture - very sassy. Very Ingrid Bergman. So are you going to do it then and if so, and bearing in mind the latest 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film, I wonder what you're going to call your girlie pirates programme proposal. Besides 'Pussies in Boots' I just cannot, for the life of me, think of anything less rude, crude and lewd to land you a tv commission. Any thoughts?
The Lusty Wenches of the West Midlands?

I really can`t understand your comments. I find them really upsetting, insulting & undeserved & I think it`s time I pointed this out.
Girlie Pirates will not be lewd, crude or rude. Tbh, it will actually be a gentle comedy. If you don`t believe me, go & read the synopsis of Girlie Pirates which is on the critique board.
I hope the project comes together as I would like it to, after all I`m putting a hell of a lot of work under difficult circumstances. I think it can hit the mark & I hope you`ll be surprised.
For your information I will be selling the script & not myself. Never in a million years would I do that. Nothing is worth that. That`s not me & it`s not my style. I was trying to steer away from pointing this out, hence my earlier post, but I really think I have to make this clear.
I really think an apology is in order don`t you?

I honestly meant no disrespect to you and hope this doesn't create an unhappy atmosphere and I absolutely, without question and unreservedly retract every word that may have caused offence. Friends?
Thanks for the apology Baumski. I really do appreciate it.
No hard feelings from this end & it won`t create an unhappy atmosphere I assure you. Tbh, I do realise how easy it is for a post to read differently to the original poster`s intension.
I`m over it now
*shakes hand* Friends
Glad, if not relieved to hear it. By the way, having now read your synopsis, I have made a posting on the relevant thread.
Thanks Baumski
Did we miss the photos?
David!
It`s OK, we`re friends now
