Quote: PhQnix @ July 30 2008, 5:23 PM BSTMy year, not me. The librarian was straight-up-big-tits-in-your-face attractive. My English teacher was intellectually brilliant and quite weird, much more my sort of woman.
And we discover what inspired you to want to do an English Lit degree...?

Wha wha whaaaat?
I know! It was someone from Latymer (a posh selective school) too!

I'm doing English because I never had to work hard to succeed at it and I enjoy the subject. The prospect of weird and wonderful women is merely a bonus!

Write THAT in your personal statement!

Get ready for some really f**king scary extreme feminist types. Unless it was a coincidence that our department was chock full of em.

"I'm quite good at English, so I'll coast a lot. By the way, are there any weird girls at your university?"

Feminists enjoy the company of women and gay men. I'm essentially a cross between the two groups so I should be fine.

We got told that at Holloway, in so many words!

Not true! But quite a funny suggestion!

The prison?

Well I did try to warn you, but I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself
But you are soooo thinking of the wrong type of feminist.
Wait, have I misconstrued feminists here? Dammit! My whole life was building up to uni where I'd score with lots of pseudo-lesbian girls.
Seriously you have to read 5-6 books a week? That's pretty hardcore. I'm sure you'll be able to do Creative Writing as an option though? I did a physics degree and was allowed to.
My advice is to go to the same uni as PhQnix, on the same course, then you guys can get together and we'll be related.

I said something ridiculously feminist at a debating course, just to argue a point, and everyone thought I actually belived it!

What did you say? "Women should have the vote!"
Actually even you're not that weird...
I had to say that women shouldn't have the vote, but I couldn't argue that principally and so argued that women neede something more.
Scary extreme feminists don't like anyone.
