I don't think understanding why it would be worth killing yourself necessarily means you would do it. Some suicidal thoughts are normal right? The result of natural curiosity.

I don't think I've ever had a conversation which turned to "Some suicidal thoughts are natural, right?" If I did I'd probably just get called an "emo-fag" (quite rightly on two counts ) and have the person ignore me.
Andy IS an "emo-fag", so the conversation progression is natural.
