He's making a list and changing it twice. Page 4

Yes, there are a number of brew pubs that brew strong ale, The Frog and Parrot pub in Sheffield that produces Roger and Out is generally regarded as the strongest.

I have to say however, that if it's that sought of nightcap that is your preferred tipple, try the beers from Belgium. The weakest start at 5%(the fruit and wheat beers) and the strongest (typically the 'Abbey' or 'Trapist' beers) rise to around 14%. Far more paletable than the syruppy(sp) beers of that potency from this country.

Lesson ends.:)

A death certificate?

Belgo used to do a 14.5% beer.

I bought 2 1 litre bottles to celebrate a new job, and bought a bottle of Port from a Napoleonic port/sherry down the road.

I woke up the next day to find myself missing a friend. I was semi convicned I'd murered him, as I had his shoes and coat.

Then I found out my flatmate had seduced him, they were both interesting fellas......

It's a strange world you live in Joel, I would have needed a drink to get over that one!

That was an ace flatshare, lived there for a couple of years,

More like a commune.

I was the only person with an actual job, lots of artists, couple of revoloutinaries.

Being as I had a job, I was likened onto a capitlaist God by paying for basic cable, and occaisonal cases of past it's sell by date beer from the dodg offie.

My mate Kim did that, took him weeks and local chavs threw rocks at him a couple of times.

Er, where does one buy a tank?

He didn't it was owned by a member of Pink Floyd who just abandoned it, and he decided to paint it.

Did what? Built it, painted it or drove it there.

Ignore me.

Painted it.

In the rain, under fire from Chavs,

for a graphic design course, most people jsut painted a picture.

We must all be in the minority however as the best selling beer in the world is Budweiser closely followed in 2nd place by..................Bud Light! There are some strange people in this world.

I assume people drink what's familiar to them. The days of the local brewery here in the U.S. ended about a hundred years ago, so we have 4 or 5 generations of people who have grown up with nothing but megabrewery lagers to choose from. I assumed kids in England would have grown up on sips of their fathers' ale and would stick to the good stuff, but I guess I underestimate the power of advertising.

Full disclosure: My girlfriend swears by Bud Light. I've slowly been introducing her to other beers. The Cajun restaurant near her home in St. Petersburg has a nice selection and she's becoming fond of this apple-flavored beer:

I reckon that blue graffiti spoils it a bit.

True, but there's not much of it.

He must have really made an impression.

Cider? I don't drink but when I do it's normally cider, but only on rare occasions when a pub has some rare traditional cider like Strongbow ;).

Cider?

No, it's beer with some apples thrown into the mix. It smells strongly of green apples, but tastes mostly like beer.

The girlfriend has also been known to drink a Strongbow or two.

Strongbow is what teenagers buy by the gallon to get wasted over here. But I'd like to try the apple beer, sounds nice.
