I saw a very interesting fly the other day and would love to know what it is.
It was about 12mm long and the top half of it's body was a metallic turquoise colour and the bottom half was metallic orange. It looked like a little beetle, but it surprised me by unveiling some wings before it flew off.
I've never seen one before, so let me know if you what it is.

The wings don't preclude it being a beetle. Paul McCartney was a beatle with Wings.
